Rick L. Upchurch, M.A., D.Min.

Dr. Upchurch has served since 1998 in Christian Higher Education, primarily leading online and adult degree completion programs for Ohio Christian University, Huntington University, and Belhaven University.  Prior to that, he spent 18 years in Christian ministry in the Church of the Nazarene, where he continues to hold his ordination.  He is the father of three and a husband to the same wife, Mary Margaret, for over 42 years.

Rick has been an active mentor and coach to higher education administrators, faculty, pastors, and colleagues throughout his life.  He has a unique ability to simplify concepts and drill down to the core issues.  He is sought after as a speaker, trainer, and coach.  His ability to analyze information and find relevant patterns, along, with asking the right questions, has been instrumental in moving forward the organizations where he has worked and helping individuals move forward.

He has published Discipleship with James, Guidebook for Course Development and Evaluation, Spiritual Warfare, and a Kindle book: The Principles of Life. Dr. Upchurch has presented at national conferences on higher education accreditation as well as professional conferences related to distance and adult education.
